Fanatic´s Yoann Cornelis finished 2nd Overall and 3rd in Elite Distance at the Nautic SUP Crossing in Paris last weekend! Also well done to Italian youngster Davide Ionico, who finished 3rd in the Open Distance Race - a great result! Meanwhile Noah Voecker-Roche from Lanzarote did his first ever SUP competition in cold Paris, quite an awesome and motivating experience for the 12 year old.
Conditions were close to freezing, with temperatures around 4 degrees as the competitoin started early in the morning just after sunrise. All paddlers were well equipped with thick wetsuits, booties, gloves and beanies. The 12km course leaded up and down river Seine including historic bridges and even passing the Eiffel Tower. Over 200 paddlers came to Paris to paddle in the cold, probably one of the largest SUP races in Europe.
The SUP Race was only half of the show/part of a massive boat show happening in Paris called Nautic/Salon Nautique de Paris. In the afternoon the paddlers headed indoors for some short course sprints in the pool.
Special Thanx to Fanatic France for representing our SUP and Windsurf range at the show.
